Portfolios are essentially large carrying cases for artwork. Unlike presentation cases, they do not have a binding for sheet protectors. They often have inside or outside pockets to carry additional materials and/or straps to hold artwork in place. They come in a variety of cover materials such as leather, canvas or polypropylene. Portfolios are more likely to come in very large sizes than presentation cases, as well.
For further protection of your artwork, you may want to consider print protectors or art envelopes.
